Spiritual Psychology: Outer Personality & Deeper Self – 2-day Workshop

By popular demand, the Crowleys return to deliver their acclaimed workshop live at Treadwell's.

Over two days, Vivianne and Chris explore the inner deeper self and its relationship to the outer personality. The aim of the workshop is to facilitate participants' initiatory journey to the 'true self' by uncovering hidden aspects and releasing inner obstacles. Drawing on theories from Jungian, Transpersonal and Archetypal Psychology, they also examine concepts from the Western Mystery Tradition and Eastern philosophy. The workshop includes a large experiential component: expect to be led through an array of practical exercises comprising inner journeying, imaging, discussion and meditation.

This is the first of two workshops in the Crowleys' 'Know Thyself' series (designed to be taken in any order). They are suitable for people practising specific traditions alongside those following independent spiritual paths. The ultimate goal of both workshops is to draw from psychological concepts to support the spiritual quest and foster 'reunification with the Divine'. 

In the words of Viviane and Chris: 'Achieving this requires coming to understand one’s aspirations and fears, strengths and weaknesses – the mind, body, heart and spirit. It means discovering all that we are, and all that we can be. The journey is difficult, but ultimately it offers deep peace and unity of being.'  

Runs in-person at Treadwell's, on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th May, 11am–5.30pm both days. Attendance is strictly limited to 16 students. The workshop involves deep inner work and is not recommended for people currently having psychiatric treatment. Attendees will be able to collect a CPD certificate at the end of the second session. 

Vivianne Crowley BSc, PhD, AFBPsS, CPsychol is a Chartered Psychologist with a doctorate in psychology. She trained in counselling with the Centre for Transpersonal Psychology and is a famed international teacher of Wicca, Paganism and spiritual psychology. Author of many books, her most recent release is Wild Once: A High Priestess' Guide to Modern Spirituality. Her most celebrated work is Wicca: A comprehensive guide to the Old Religion in the modern world.

Chris Crowley BA, MA, trained in counselling with the Centre for Transpersonal Psychology. He is an international teacher of Wicca, Paganism, and spiritual psychology, and a specialist in mid-life counselling. He is co-author of Your Dark Side, an accessible introduction to the Jungian concept of the ‘The Shadow’, and Ancient Wisdom: Earth Traditions in the Twenty-First Century.
