Treadwell’s sell more than books, but also supplies for practitioners. We buy from small cottage-industry craftspeople whose works are made with care and excellence. Our items are of the very highest quality and are made of whole, natural materials.

Silver Pendants by Simon Guenier.  We carry the work of this independent craftsman and silversmith, who makes his own sand-cast designs and makes each piece individually. His high-quality silver (92.5  % or better) and individual creativity make his work especially sought after.

Drums. Our djembes are both beautiful, decorated with pentagrams, and have special skins which won't go saggy in the English rain. We have three sizes, one for everyone. The largest is about two and a half feet high - impressive at any gathering.

Charms, witch bottles, and amulets.  Hand-crafted and magically charged pieces for love, luck, home protection and prosperity -- from two of the loveliest hedgewitches we've met. Amelia and Belinda make everything by hand, at home, according to the phase of the moon and the customs of native folk tradition. Once a month they come down to London and bring us their makings in a satchel.

Candles. The Treadwell’s candle range is supplied by Surrey hedgewitch who makes them all in her kitchen, and whose beeswax is virgin, being gathered directly from a local bee-keeper’s hives. Importantly, these candles are handled by no more than two people before sale: the maker and the packager at Treadwell’s. Coloured candles: these are for planetary or deity-based workings in Wicca, paganism and hoodoo. Colours: red, blue, yellow, black, white, purple, green, orange.

Ritual Soaps and Bath Salts. London hedgewitches make these in their own kitchens. The ingredients are listed: pure, organic, extraordinarily high quality. For baths where the purpose is purification or ritual preparation or magic, as well as for good old relaxation, invigoration and soaking.

Wands. The archetypal magical tool, the wand should be personalised by the practitioner. Our blanks are from local trees, gathered at full moon, then peeled, dried and sanded. Occasionally we also have hand-carved ornate wands, depending upon availability.

Chalices. For your outdoor and indoor rituals, large and small ceremonial chalices in wood, silver plate and brass. Some are inscribed with pentagrams, others plain.

Athames and black-handled religious daggers. Practitioners of initiatory Wicca count amongst their regalia an athame (correct pronunciation ‘ah-thay-mee’), namely a black-handled ‘knife that does not cut’, to cite the tradition’s lore. Ours are in a range of styles, from the basic to the magnificent.

Essential Oils. Highest grade, certified pure. Used in anointing talismans, blending incenses, mixing hoodoo treatment oils. Ambergris, bergamot citronella, lemon, lemon grass, lemon verbena, tangerine, grapefruit, peppermint, tea tree, spearmint, rosewood, vetivert, patchouli, geranium, ylang ylang, vanilla, lavender, rosemary, bay, basil and others. We use a specialist supplier to aromatherapists and medical herbalists. These oils are simply the best. All bottles 15 ml, prices £3.50- £15.00. Rarer oils upon request.

Incenses – Gum Resins. Desiccated tree sap from rare shrubs and trees form the granules of true incense resins. We supply in small ‘sampler’ bags as well as jam-jar size containers. Ingredients those who blend their own mixes. Frankincense, myrrh, aloe ferox, benzoin, gum arabic (acacia), pine resin (colophony), dragon’s blood. Prices: 30p-£9.00.

We import the exotic mixtures of Rosarium Blends, the creation of Seattle's own Catamara Rosarium: she graces us with her Witch Moon, Manifestation, Divination, Sekhmet, Phoenix and her Summoning Spirits.

Also from Seattle, we import the incense blends of the much-beloved druid and witch, Leon Reed. His Wortcunning incenses are of time-tested recipes and gorgeous aroma. We carry all seven planetary incenses, prosperity, protection, and more.

Classic Ouija Boards from Parker Brothers. No longer produced in their classic style, these ouija boards are vintage items, specially imported from North America. £60 each.
