London lore expert Caroline Wise and renowned esoteric photographer Ruth Bayer team up to introduce 26 London ghosts.
 
The pair, both of whom have lived in London for decades, visited the sites, tuning in to the atmosphere before shooting the images and composing the words. Bayer and Wise write, 'We have treated them as real phenomena, real souls, with stories to tell.' As a result, the book succeeds in capturing the uncanny, hidden seam of London, even at its most modern and industrial. The photographs are haunting, and the writing is evocative yet authoritive.
