Reproduced in this book are a series of elaborate Egyptian-inspired ceremonies composed by Florence Farr – author, singer and successful actor, and prominent member of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn at the turn of the twentieth century. These poetic and powerful ceremonies were originally created in 1903 for Farr's own occult order, of which little is now known; the ceremonies themselves survive in just one original copy, now kept in the Museum of Freemasonry in London. This handy paperback edition of the rituals shows performance instructions in red, while the spoken parts are printed in black, making it suitable for use either as a reading copy, or a ritual copy – or both.
