New issue of the popular independent zine dedicated to weird walks through the British landscape.

As the creators describe it, walking is an act of 'active engagement with the British landscape and its lore'. The latest issue of Weird Walk is set in winter, described appropriately in the editorial as 'undoubtedly the most metal of seasons'. Psychogeography, folklore and occulture come together in these contributions, which include an interview with artist Jeremy Deller; a guide to the music of doom metal (yes); a profile of a medieval spring near the River Fleet; encounters with the Man in the Woods; an account of Lundy, a three-mile-long rock on the Bristol Channel; and many more. Contents include:

  • 'Enter ye': Zine time is upon us
  • An Interview with Jeremy Deller: The countryside is not what you think
  • Doom Strolling: Heavy rambling
  • Water Ritual: Holy H2O
  • My Friday Walk: Spend some time with the Man in the Woods
  • In Search of the Big Belly Oak: Woodland wanderings
  • Terra Twilight: A cult zine remembered
  • Island of the Dead: The past is expanding
  • The Wild Morris: A peaceful trespass beneath an ancient oak
